Juvéderm is a safe smooth gel filler made of hyaluronic acid (HA). When your skin is young it naturally contains an abundance of HA. As you age, time, sunlight, and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. The lack of HA causes skin to lose structure and volume which creates unwanted facial wrinkles and folds, like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth.
This is a quick procedure with no down-time. You will have a topical anesthetic applied for 30 minutes prior to the procedure. The procedure itself will only take 15-20 minutes.
