Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)®

What is PRP?

This is a natural product created in the body. It is a concentrated serum that has been processed from your own blood.

Where can PRP be injected?

PRP stimulates your own collagen to grow for total facial rejuvenation rather than individual wrinkle improvement. PRP is used for volumizing faces that are beginning to look drawn, to plump cheek indentations, and improve the skin tone, tightness and texture.

Other fillers may be used in conjunction with PRP as they are meant for different purposes. These treatments supplement each other and when combined will give you a more youthful appearance.

What is the treatment like?

This is a quick in-office procedure with no downtime. You will have a topical anesthetic placed for 30 minutes prior to the procedure. A small amount of blood will be drawn from you. The actual treatment will only take about 15 minutes.

What can I expect after the treatment?

Three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve the best outcome, but you can see results after one session.

Are there side effects?

The most common side effects are slight swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site (7 days or less).
